Negotiation
/ Mediation Coaching ::
All of
us learn to negotiate from the time we are very
young. As children (and sometimes as adults),
we cry, giggle, act tough or coy and engage
in other such behavior to get what we want.
As we grow older, we learn other ways to assert
our needs and positions. By the time we are
adults we are able to identify whether we have
a tendency to avoid, collaborate, accommodate,
compete and so on, in order to get what we want.
Sometimes we find ourselves
in situations both personal and professional
in which the style of negotiation we have learned
just doesn't work. Or, we decide we want to
change our way of operating and improve our
skills. Or, we are about to enter into a negotiation
or mediation and we want to be prepared to participate
effectively.
